• Pay Range: $65,000 annually - $80,000 annually
• Discretionary Year End Bonus

Job Description:

Tacoma Screw Products is a distribution company that sells industrialsupplies, fasteners and tools to contractors, small and largebusinesses and individual retail customers since 1946.
We havea unique blend of Wholesale and Retail Customers. Because of this, arenot open during the typical 'Retail Hours'. We are closed on nights,Sunday, and Holidays.

We're looking for someone who understands our business and ourcustomers, leads by example, communicates well, and is excited aboutthe opportunity to build something new.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include thefollowing. Other duties may be assigned.

• Plans and prepares work schedules and assigns employees tospecific duties using good work flow management.
• Trains new staff on computer using SX.e
• Responsible for building maintenance.
• Reviews, corrects and submits time clock information for payroll.Records and approves leave time for staff in the timekeeping system.Coordinates backup for absent staff.
• Supervises employees engaged in sales work, taking of inventories,reconciling cash with sales receipts, keeping operating records, orpreparing daily record of transactions for Accounting, or performswork of subordinates, as needed.
• Responsible for tracking and maintaining proper inventory levelsfor the branch store.
• Ensures compliance of employees with established security, sales,and record-keeping procedures and practices.
• Responsible for employee compliance with company’s seasonal dress code.
• Conducts performance evaluations for branch staff and documentsperformance issues.
• Actively and effectively promotes product knowledge improvementincluding application, features, and benefits of existing and new products.
• Answers customer's complaints or inquiries.
• Ensures the store is locked and secure.

Experience and Skills:

Required Skills/Experience

• High School Diploma or GED
• At least 2 years of retail/counter sales experience in anindustrial setting
• Solid math, verbal, and written communication skills
• Exceptional skills in sales, customer service, and time management
• Proven ability to lead a team

Preferred Skills/Experience

• Proficient with SX.e
• Previous experience with leading a team

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to move quickly to pull orders and wait on customers
• Must be able to stand & walk for long periods of time
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform the physical demandsof this job.
• Must be able to unload freight and stock shelves
• Ability to use hands to keyboard for customer orders and to lookup inventory
• Must be able to answer the telephone and take customer orders
