Boomi Integration Engineer

The University of Virginia Darden School of Business seeks a Boomi Integration Engineer to join their Digital Solutions & Integration team. This position is responsible for designing, implementing, and validating enterprise integrations that connect cloud and on-premise systems used by the Darden School of Business.This role plays a critical part in ensuring secure, reliable, and scalable data exchange across academic systems and works in close partnership with the Darden Strategic IT team, the University of Virginia (UVA) Boomi Integration team, and third-party vendors.This is a two-year position with full benefits, with the possibility of extending up to an additional year. There is a strong preference for this position to be based in-person in Charlottesville, VA.Responsibilities:Integration StrategyCollaborate with the Darden Strategic IT team and the UVA Boomi Integration team to align solutions with the UVA-managed Boomi platformCoordinate with the UVA Boomi Integration team to incorporate shared best practices and governance standards, including maintaining naming conventions, version control, and documentation standardsDefine and document integration patterns, data flows, and interface standards consistent with Darden and UVA enterprise architecturesIntegration Design and DevelopmentDesign, develop, and implement integrations between systems using Dell Boomi including:Student Information Systems (SIS)CRM platformsLearning management platformsThird-party SaaS toolsBuild, configure, and test Boomi processes, connectors, and data mappingsImplement error handling, logging, and monitoringSupport integration testing cycles, including unit, system, and end-to-end testingAssist with cutover planning and go-live readiness related to integrationsCollaboration and DocumentationCoordinate closely with the Darden Strategic IT team and the UVA Boomi Integration team to ensure compliance with UVA standardsParticipate in technical discussions and implementation planning with third-party vendorsDocument integration architecture, data mappings, and operational proceduresRequired education and experience:Bachelor's degree and 2+ years relevant professional experience required; may consider combination of relevant experience, education, certification(s) in lieu of degree5+ years of hands-on experience designing and developing integrations using Dell Boomi preferredExperience integrating enterprise systems, such as SIS platforms, SaaS applications, or CRMsStrong understanding of integration architectures, APIs, data modeling, and middleware platformsDemonstrated analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across technical teams, business stakeholders, and vendorsDemonstrated experience developing solutions using JavaScript and GroovyPreferred Qualifications:Boomi certification(s)Experience with the integration of higher-education platformsFamiliarity with student lifecycle processes and systemsExperience working in shared-services IT environmentsExperience with version control systems (Git or SVN) and related conceptsHow to ApplyPlease apply online through Online and search for  R .
