Title: Boom Pump Operator
Location: Field - FL 4:00AM-5:00PM (on call)
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Summary:
ODC Construction is looking for an experienced and dedicated Boom Pump Supervisor to oversee the operation of boom pump trucks and manage a team of operators. This role requires strong leadership, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to safety and efficiency.
Reports to: Director of Fleet & Equipment
Responsibilities include but are not limited to
- Understand job name, location, size, and manager before dispatching in truck
- Properly inspect truck and pump before leaving the yard
- Make sure truck is compliant and safe before getting on the road
- Drive Defensively every time the vehicle is on the road
- Respectfully and timely communicate with Field Management, Scheduling, and Boom Pump supervisor.
- Safely set up and operate boom pump
- Stay in communication while on job site with crew leader and vendor driver concerning materials and safety
- Thoroughly wash out hopper in designated area of job site
- Wash truck/pump at yard after return
- Communicate with supervisor any issues with truck or pump

Physical and Work Environment Requirements:
- Tasks may include standing, walking, bending, and carrying up to 80 lbs., with or without reasonable accommodation
- Ability to lift and carry up to 80 lbs. safely, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- This position requires the ability to work outdoors for extended periods in a variety of weather conditions, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Must possess a valid Florida Commercial Driver's License (CDL), Class A or B as required by vehicle type.
- Clean driving record with no major violations (e.g., DUI, reckless driving, license suspension) in the past 3–5 years.
- Must pass a pre-employment Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check.
- Must pass a pre-employment DOT drug/alcohol screening.
- DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate required and must be maintained.
- Familiar with FMCSA regulations, Hours of Service (HOS)
- Responsible for completing daily pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and reporting any maintenance needs.
- Must safely load, secure, and unload materials and equipment in accordance with company and DOT safety policies.
- Ability to navigate construction sites, narrow access roads, and variable terrain safely and efficiently.
