Bookkeeper / Billing SpecialistThe Carabetta Companies is seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper / Billing Specialist to support the financial operations of one of our affiliated businesses. This position is based out of our corporate office in Meriden, CT and is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment where accuracy, organization, and professionalism are essential.If you have experience with bookkeeping, billing, QuickBooks, and accounts receivable, we'd love to hear from you.ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities include but are not limited to:Prepare and process customer invoices accurately and in a timely manner.Review supporting documentation to ensure billing accuracy.Enter and reconcile billing transactions in QuickBooks.Track costs, expenses, and financial data using Microsoft Excel and other business software.Post customer payments and maintain accurate accounts receivable records.Monitor outstanding balances and professionally communicate with customers regarding billing questions and payment status.Work closely with operations and management to ensure accurate billing information.Generate billing reports and assist with month-end reporting.Maintain organized financial records and support additional bookkeeping and administrative functions as needed.QualificationsAt least one (1) year of experience in bookkeeping, billing, accounting, or administrative support.Proficiency with QuickBooks.Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, and data entry.Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.Strong organizational and time management skills.Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.Professional verbal and written communication skills.Experience with inventory-based, retail, hospitality, food service, construction, or service-industry accounting is a plus.Why Join The Carabetta Companies?Competitive compensation based on experience.Monday-Friday schedule with no evenings or weekends.Professional corporate office environment.Opportunity to grow within a stable, family-owned organization.Collaborative and supportive team culture.Full benefits package; PTO, paid holidays, Medical/Dental/Vision, 401kIf you're looking for an opportunity to build your accounting and bookkeeping career with an established organization, we'd love to hear from you.
