Bookkeeper PositionThe Mission of Caring Network is to honor and glorify Jesus Christ, the author and creator of life, by bringing His love and compassion to abortion minded women and equipping them to choose life - both physical and spiritual.The Bookkeeper will join the Sr. Director of Finance as part of the organization's accounting, finance, and business administration function. The Bookkeeper will assist in month-end closing procedures, helping with accounting entries, managing outsourced accounts payable, contacting vendors, assisting with fixed asset schedules, other financial duties, administrative support to the Sr.
Director of Finance, and serving as a helpful accounting internal resource to our staff.Key responsibilities:Accounting:Post journal entries to the general ledgerMake adjustments to expense account transactions as necessaryAccounts Payable:Partner with outsourced accounting firm in managing all accounts payable (online banking, Bill.com)Record payments and invoices in QuickBooks OnlineMaintain vendor and invoice record filingReconcile credit card transactions to QuickBooks OnlineContact vendors when necessaryAdministration:Manage finance department email inbox used by vendors and staffAssist Sr. Director of Finance in ad hoc tasks and projects related to business administration, vendor relationships, filing of various registrations and paperwork, and other tasksPerform other administrative tasks as needed to support the organization's operationsOther job-related duties as assigned.Qualifications:A committed Christian who demonstrates a personal relationship with Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord and is a participant in a local churchMaintains a consistent life-affirming philosophy and would never refer or advise a woman to have an abortionAgree with and be willing to uphold Caring Network's Statements of Faith and Principle and Core Values2+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience requiredAssociate's or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting preferredExperience working in a financial accounting software required; QuickBooks Online preferredExperience with Microsoft Office suite, especially a proficiency in ExcelBenefits:Generous PTO policy including substantial vacation time and sick time10 paid company holidays PLUS Christmas BreakPaid maternity leave, paternity leave403(b) retirement savings planOption to enroll in telehealth and pet insurance plansCaring, Empowering, Mission-Driven Culture!
