If you're someone who likes being a trusted resource, takes ownership of your work, and enjoys a role where no two days are exactly alike, we'd love to hear from you.ResponsibilitiesMaintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and accounting ledgersVerify and post account transactions and ensure financial records are accurate and up to datePrepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports in accordance with accounting standards and internal policiesProcess employee payroll and maintain accurate records of vacation, sick leave, and other leave timeAssist with employee benefits administration, including insurance and defined benefit/contribution plans, enrollment, changes, and terminationsReconcile bank accounts and other financial statements on a monthly basisHandle incoming phone calls, take customer orders, and assist with resolving customer questions or issuesAccurately enter orders, process payments, and maintain customer recordsAssist with annual financial audits by providing required documentation and reports and supporting the review processAssist with preparing manuscripts and other materials for publication, including proofreading for grammar, formatting, and accuracyPerform other duties and administrative tasks as neededQualificationsAssociate's degree in Bookkeeping, Accounting, or a related field required; Bachelor's degree preferredMinimum of 4 years of experience with payroll and accounts payable/receivableExperience handling sensitive and confidential information with discretionExperience with ADP Workforce Now is a plusProficiency with QuickBooks and Microsoft Office Suite, including the ability to create, edit, review, and format spreadsheets and documentsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsPrior editing or proofreading experience is a plusExceptional interpersonal, customer service, and time management skillsStrong attention to detail and accuracyAbility to manage multiple responsibilities and priorities in a professional office environmentCompensation Up to $65K annually, with the final salary determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, licensure, and relevant certifications.
