Bookkeeper AP/AR Specialist

Bookkeeper PositionHQ Aero is hiring for a bookkeeper in Lexington, KY! The ideal candidate will have basic accounting knowledge, and be proficient in both accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.Accounts PayableReceive, review, and process vendor invoicesVerify invoice accuracy and proper approvalsMatch invoices to purchase orders and receiptsSchedule and process payments (check, ACH, wire, credit card)Maintain vendor records and resolve billing discrepanciesTrack payment due dates to avoid late feesReconcile vendor statementsMaintain AP aging reportsAssist with audit requests related to payableAccounts ReceivableCreate and issue customer invoicesEnsure accurate billing based on contracts or services renderedPost customer payments and apply credits correctlyMonitor AR aging and follow up on past-due accountsCommunicate with customers regarding billing questionsResolve payment discrepancies and short paysMaintain customer account recordsPrepare AR reports and cash receipt summariesAssist with collections as neededRequirements:Minimum of 5 years accounting experience (A/R / A/P)Basic computer knowledgeFamiliar with accounting softwareAviation industry knowledge a plus.EducationMinimum of High School Diploma (or equivalent)Must be fluent in EnglishDISCLAIMER This job description indicates the general nature and level of work expected by the successful applicant.
