We take pride in providing dependable, high-quality service to our customers while maintaining an organized, professional, and positive work environment.We are seeking a detail-oriented Part-Time Bookkeeper / Staff Accountant to maintain accurate financial records, perform reconciliations, and manage cost accounting for multiple jobs and departments. This role will be responsible for ensuring that all financial transactions are recorded correctly and that payroll and tax filings are completed on time.
The ideal candidate is experienced with QuickBooks, understands accounting best practices, and can work independently with minimal supervision. This position offers flexibility, including partial remote work after training.Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain and reconcile bank and credit card accountsRecord and categorize all company transactions accurately in QuickBooksPerform job cost accounting—assigning transactions to the correct cost centers or projectsPrepare and process payroll using QuickBooks PayrollHandle periodic filings, including payroll tax submissions, quarterly and monthly tax filingsSupport management with basic financial reporting and ad hoc accounting tasksEnsure compliance with standard accounting principles and company proceduresQualificationsProficiency in QuickBooks (required)Minimum 2 years of bookkeeping or accounting experienceStrong understanding of general accounting principlesExperience with payroll processing and tax filings (quarterly, monthly, and after pay periods)Detail-oriented and organized; able to manage multiple prioritiesAssociate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred, but not requiredExcellent communication skills and ability to work independentlySchedule & CompensationPart-time; approximately 10-15 hours per week (hours may be higher 20-25 during initial onboarding)$25–$30/hour, based on experienceFlexible schedule with potential for hybrid/remote workFlexible work from home options available.
