Bookkeeper / Accounting ClerkWe are seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper / Accounting Clerk to join a growing manufacturing organization in Torrington, CT. This direct-hire opportunity is ideal for someone with experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general accounting who enjoys a fast-paced environment.The Bookkeeper / Accounting Clerk will support daily financial operations, including processing invoices and payments, managing customer billing and collections, preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, and assisting with month-end closing activities. This role works closely with internal departments, vendors, and customers to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.Responsibilities:Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.Process vendor invoices and customer payments.Generate customer invoices and monitor outstanding balances.Reconcile vendor statements, customer accounts, and bank accounts.Prepare journal entries and assist with month-end and year-end close.Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.Assist with audits and provide supporting documentation.Collaborate with internal teams to resolve billing and payment issues.Qualifications:Associate Degree in Accounting, Business, or equivalent experience.Previous experience in accounting, AP/AR, or finance.Strong Microsoft Excel skills; ERP experience is a plus.Excellent organizational and time management skills.Strong attention to detail and analytical abilities.Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality.This is an excellent opportunity to join a stable and growing organization that values accuracy, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
