Boiler Operator

Job ResponsibilitiesOversee boiler operations including gauge checking system to prevent malfunctionsConduct regular testing of pressure, chemical and water levels to ensure safe operationIdentify and fix issues promptly to ensure smooth production processesOperate kiln to dry poles according to company specificationPerform minor mechanical maintenance on equipmentOperation of loader as neededWorks cooperatively with management and co-workers to achieve all safety, quality and production goals set for the work environmentOther work-related duties as requiredCandidate Qualifications/ RequirementsKnowledge of boiler systems and mechanical componentsAbility to monitor and read gagesBasic computer knowledge including applicationsStrong problem-solving skillsAble to work in a team environmentHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredWilling to be hands on with physical productionMust be able to work in all outside weather conditions (wet, hot, cold)Must be able to lift up to 50lbsKoppers Inc. and its subsidiaries are equal opportunity employers.
