Boiler Field Supervisor
Hunton Services a division of Hunton Group in Houston, TX, is seeking to hire an experienced Boiler Field Supervisor to join our team. As the Field Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily workload of a specific team, ensuring period updates to the Area Service Manager, and providing guidance and support to the team. You will service as a technical expert to the team and train technicians on driving service pull-through.

Responsibilities include:
- Manage larger quoted jobs that are subcontracted only, including scheduling subcontractors.
- Conduct engagement meetings with Technicians and assist in creating agendas for Safety meetings.
- Perform Quality Control inspections jobsites and set schedule for each month.
- Audit Preventative Maintenance inspections an average once per week with technicians.
- Identify specific training opportunities for less experienced technicians and aid in the development of soft skills required for customer interactions.
- Formalize onboarding processes for new hires and audit costs and scopes associated with low-performing contracts.
- Hold weekly meetings with Area Service Manager and meet with customers and primary technicians at least twice a month.
- Review problematic jobs and underperforming contracts, and initiate discussion for process improvements.
- Gather feedback from technicians on concerns and weekly with Resource Coordinator to review scheduling of critical jobs.
- Mentor technicians and provide on-the-job training as needed, ensuring billing of 50% of time monthly.
- Disseminate important tech updates from Factory to Field and assist Sales team in identifying new business opportunities.
- Actively promote a safety culture within the team.
- Become proficient in utilizing Wennsoft and understanding service financials.
- Participate in yearly reviews of technicians, survey large jobs before estimating, and assist in identifying/recruiting other field personnel.
- Foster communication with other teams and divisions.
- Perform any other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Proficient problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Extensive knowledge of boiler systems and equipment.
- Ability to operate power and hand tools, as well as thermometers, pressure gauges, and other testing devices to evaluate boilers systems.
- Physically fit to work on boilers and able to withstand work in settings with extreme cold or extreme heat, depending on time of year.
- Capable of prolonged periods of standing, kneeling, crawling, or climbing ladders.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Vocational/technical school training or apprenticeship required.
- Two years of related experience preferred.
