Role Summary

The Body Imaging Radiologist will provide diagnostic imaging services for oncology patients, including CT, MRI, ultrasound, nuclear medicine, and plain film studies. The role also supports academic activities such as teaching fellows, residents, and students and may involve image‑guided biopsies and interventional procedures as required. The faculty member will practice within the scope and privileges granted by Moffitt Cancer Center and serve as an integral part of the academic medical enterprise.

Responsibilities

  • Perform high‑quality diagnostic imaging examinations for cancer patients across modalities (CT, MRI, ultrasound, nuclear medicine, plain film).
  • Provide image‑guided biopsies and interventional procedures when necessary.
  • Teach and mentor fellows, residents, and medical students in diagnostic imaging and interventional techniques.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary tumor board discussions and patient care conferences.
  • Assist in the development and advancement of clinical research related to diagnostic radiology.
  • Maintain clinical productivity and adhere to call schedules, including evening swing shifts (7 on/14 off).
  • Collaborate with the Moffitt Medical Group and university partners to enhance patient care, education, and research.

Qualifications

  • Medical degree (MD or DO) with a Florida medical license or eligibility for one.
  • Board certification or eligibility in Diagnostic Radiology, American Board of Radiology or American Board of Nuclear Medicine.
  • Completed fellowship in a radiology sub‑specialty (Body Imaging, Abdominal Imaging, Chest/Cardiac Imaging, or MRI).
  • Ability to obtain an unrestricted Florida medical license.
  • Strong academic record and commitment to teaching and research.
  • Proficiency with Moffitt clinical systems and documentation processes.

Clinical & Academic Scope

The position focuses on diagnostic imaging of cancer patients and supports the body imaging division’s clinical services, research initiatives, and educational mission.

Benefits & Compensation

Salary Range: $490,027.20 – $607,833.62 (based on experience and qualifications). Salary may vary by location and institutional factors.
