Job Summary

Liberty Cruise is hiring a Boat Captain to join our team in the NYC area. The Captain is responsible for the safe operation of our 100‑ton passenger vessels in the NY harbor and for providing high‑quality customer service.

Compensation

Pay: $40.00 – $50.00 per hour with a weekly performance bonus.

Schedule

8–12 hour shifts, including holidays and weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• USCG 100‑ton Master’s license
• At least 2 years of experience operating passenger boats in NY harbor
• First Aid & CPR certification
• TWIC card
• MROP (Marine Radio Operator Permit)

Job Responsibilities

• Operate vessels safely in all sea and weather conditions, including docking, undocking, and navigation in NY harbor.
• Conduct pre‑cruise checks and brief the crew on necessary information (special needs, boarding procedures, etc.).
• Ensure staff and guests adhere to safety standards and procedures.
• Maintain compliance with Coast Guard rules and regulations and other federal and local rules.
