Key Responsibilities
In partnership with the Executive Director and team members, you will champion the financial health of Courage+.
Financial Strategy & Oversight
- Analyze & Advise: Review financial statements and cash flow to keep the Board updated on our fiscal health, trends, and long-term sustainability.
- Budget Collaboration: Partner with the Executive Director to help shape our annual budget, ensuring our spending aligns with our strategic goals.
- Asset & Risk Management: Provide high-level oversight of our insurance coverage, reserve funds, or investments to ensure we stay well-protected and stable.
- Be the Guide: Translate financial concepts into clear insights for Board colleagues who may not have a finance background.
General Board Leadership
- Attend regular board meetings, committee sessions, and volunteer events.
- Engage in long‑ and short‑range strategic planning to champion our mission.
- Act as an ambassador for Courage+ in the community.
Qualifications & Mindset
- Strong Financial Analytics: A background in finance, corporate accounting, business management, or a highly analytical field where you enjoy interpreting data.
- Strategic Thinker: Someone who looks at a balance sheet and sees opportunities, patterns, and forward‑looking strategy.
- Collaborative Spirit: A welcoming communication style and a willingness to team up with the Executive Director and Board President.
- Passion for the Mission: A genuine heart for youth development and community advocacy.
