About the Practice

The Texoma Veterinary Hospital, established in 1984 in Sherman, Texas, is run by a passionate team of veterinarians and support staff. Our veterinarians are members of the Texas Academy of Veterinarians and one is a Diplomate of the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners. The facility offers first‑class medicine in a welcoming environment and has recently completed an expansion and remodel, adding new CT, dentistry suite, special procedure room, and more.

Position Purpose

Board‑Certified Veterinary Dermatologist – Texoma Veterinary Hospital. Up to $50k in bonuses!
Advance your specialty career without sacrificing work‑life balance. We are excited to expand our growing specialty team by adding a board‑certified or residency‑trained Veterinary Dermatologist to build and grow a thriving dermatology service within our AAHA‑accredited hospital.

Essential Responsibilities

• Examine and treat companion animals to detect and determine the nature of disease or injuries.
• Operate diagnostic equipment, collect diagnostic samples, and interpret results.
• Advise pet owners on preventative care and treatment options.
• Perform surgery and prescribe medication as needed.
• Provide counsel around pet end‑of‑life care.
• Maintain patients’ medical records.
• Ensure compliance with veterinary ethics and relevant statutes, policies, and procedures.

Requirements/Qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from an accredited AVMA institution.
• Appropriate state licensure.
• Eligibility to obtain DEA/BNDD.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrates a professional and courteous presentation consistently with staff and clients.
• Ability to lift patients and carry equipment up to 25 pounds; with assistance for higher weights.

Pay Range

USD $200,000.00 – USD $225,000.00 per year.
