Overview
Dane Street is expanding our physician panel! This in‑person opportunity offers supplemental income for physicians who can review cases at a schedule that suits their practice. Providers work as independent contract reviewers (1099) and are compensated on a per‑case basis.
Responsibilities
* Review medical records and determine medical necessity using client‑specific criteria and nationally recognized evidence‑based guidelines.
* Provide clear, concise, and well‑documented decisions that support the client's policies.
* Identify and apply current criteria, resources, and peer‑reviewed literature for objective decision making.
* Return cases on or before the due date and time.
* Maintain proper credentialing, state licenses, and any special certifications required to perform the job.
* Attend all required orientation and training sessions.
* Make telephone calls as mandated by state or client specifics.
* Perform other duties as assigned, including quality‑assurance issues, complaints, regulatory issues, depositions, court appearances, or audits.
Qualifications
Board Certification in one of the following specialties is required: Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Internal Medicine, Orthopedic Surgery, Occupational Medicine, Neurology, or Psychiatry. Active practice and a valid CA license are also required.
