BCBA Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Conduct observations and assessments to establish baselines and identify growth areas.
  • Collaborate with families, caregivers, teachers, and medical professionals to address behavioral challenges across settings.
  • Design and monitor individualized treatment plans targeting maladaptive behaviors while building functional skills.
  • Deliver and refine interventions based on data trends and evolving clinical needs.
  • Coordinate referrals to speech, OT, or mental health providers as needed.
  • Supervise, train, and mentor RBTs and support staff.
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation per regulatory and insurance standards.
  • Stay current on evidence-based ABA research and best practices.
  • Promote inclusion and community participation for individuals with disabilities.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Active BCBA certification in good standing with the BACB.
  • Valid NJ LBA licensure or eligibility prior to start date.
  • Clinical ABA experience, preferably with individuals diagnosed with ASD or related disabilities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Calm, empathic approach with clients, families, and team members.
  • Proficient in behavioral data collection, analysis, and clinical decision-making.
  • Organized, with the ability to manage multiple cases and competing priorities.
  • Committed to ongoing professional development and recertification requirements.
  • Familiarity with insurance billing, Medicaid, and documentation standards is a plus.
