Position: Blaster - 2nd Shift Pay: $17.00/hour ($16.00 base pay + $1.00 shift differential) Shift: 2nd Shift, Monday through Friday, 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM Benefits: Weekly pay, Medical, Dental, Vision Job Overview for Blasters The Lee Group is hiring Blasters for a manufacturing client in Toano, VA! In this role, you will operate abrasive blasting equipment, load and inspect parts, and ensure production runs are completed safely and efficiently. We're looking for dependable, detail-oriented individuals with mechanical aptitude who can work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Previous machine operation experience is preferred but not required! Job Responsibilities of a Blaster

• Load abrasive blasting machines with the required parts according to production specifications.
• Operate blasting machinery safely and efficiently while following established procedures.
• Prioritize production runs according to the manufacturing schedule.
• Coordinate with downstream production team members to ensure work is completed accurately and on time.
• Perform quality checks to verify that each step of the required workflow has been completed.
• Inspect part numbers to ensure the correct parts are being processed.
• Maintain an organized and safe work area.
• Follow all established safety procedures and equipment operating guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications of a Blaster

• Previous machine operation, manufacturing, or production experience preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn manufacturing equipment and processes.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to regularly lift and move 50-60 pounds throughout the shift.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English to follow work instructions and safety procedures.
• Ability to stand and remain on your feet for 8-10 hours per day.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
• Ability to follow production schedules and prioritize assigned tasks.

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements of a Blaster

• Work is performed in an industrial manufacturing environment.
• May be exposed to noise, dust, machinery, and other typical manufacturing conditions.
• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods, typically 8-10 hours per day.
• Must be able to regularly lift, carry, and move parts weighing 50-60 pounds.
• Position may require frequent bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, and repetitive movements.
• Must follow all workplace safety requirements and use required personal protective equipment (PPE).
