Blake for the North Country: Field Organizer

Blake for the North Country: Field OrganizerOrganizers will be responsible for recruiting and managing volunteer relationships, executing in voter contact, and representing the campaign in their assigned communities. Organizers will report to the Organizing Director to manage grassroots campaign operations in their turf. This position is full-time in-person, based in an assigned region of New York's 21st Congressional District and requires regular travel.

Remote work options will not be available for this position. No experience necessary, but local applicants or those with experience in organizing will be given priority.Roles and responsibilities include:Work to elect Blake Gendebien election by knocking on doors, recruiting volunteers, and attending community events in assigned regionRecruit, manage, and train volunteers to participate in direct voter contact; including but not limited to door-to-door canvassing, volunteer recruitment calls, phone banking, and relational organizingImplement strategies to meet daily and weekly organizing metrics, adhere to team data standards, and ensure accurate data collection for all voter-contact activitySupport volunteers by providing regular 1:1 meetings, trainings, and local campaign meetingsBuild relationships with local activists, stakeholders, and organizations across your assigned areaDevelop volunteer leadership teams to prepare for a robust Get Out the Vote effortContribute to an inclusive and collaborative team culture that values diverse perspectivesOther duties as assigned.Qualifications include:Strong interpersonal skills, and desire to organize for Blake Gendebien during a unique special electionStrong communication skills - must be able to speak with and persuade all kinds of votersExcellent organizational and time management skillsDrive to hit and exceed ambitious metric goals, and ability to take feedback from managersAbility to work non-traditional hours as needed, including to work evenings, weekends, and holidaysExcellent time management skills, flexibility, and a willingness to problem-solve effectivelyAbility to thrive in a fast-paced environment and work long, irregular hours
