Job Title: Blackstone Technology & Innovations – Vice President
Job Responsibilities
- Develop innovative technologies that change the Alternative Asset Management industry.
- Work with other engineers and business analysts to design, build, deploy, and support Blackstone Legal and Compliance suite of applications.
- Build internal applications using a highly scalable microservice architecture that is deployed via containers to our cloud hosted Kubernetes environments.
- Utilize Docker to create containerized microservices.
- Build, maintain and integrate web applications and micro‑services, on a variety of platforms.
- Develop custom‑built applications using C# on the .NET platform, mysql with JavaScript/TypeScript/React/Node.js, and hosted within AWS.
- Develop on top of AWS in order to build scalable and robust solutions.
- Drive the modernization of one or more BXTI application platforms, using cutting edge technology.
- Use modern software development methodologies and tools like JIRA to manage and deliver projects.
- Develop software defined infrastructure using Agile methodology.
- Design data models and persist data to MySQL, DynamoDB or Snowflake.
- Build robust data pipelines connecting to snowflake for data analysis and visualization.
- Integrate various JavaScript libraries such as React to deliver seamless user experiences.
- Follow scalable architectural practices to build fault tolerant distributed systems.
- Leverage Kafka or SQS for messaging and improve Search using ElasticSearch.
- Write automated unit, integration, and deployment tests as well as automate deployments in coordination with Platform and DevOps engineers.
- Use TeamCity and Jenkins to automate deployments.
- Identify opportunities to automate away repetitive tasks and adapt to new technologies in order to further improve Blackstone processes.
- Devise elegant solutions to Blackstone’s most meaningful technical challenges by suggesting best ideas and promoting best practices to support an entrepreneurial environment inside one of the leading companies in its industry.

Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field required.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in job offered or related occupations required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience using ASP.Net.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience using VB.Net.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience using MVC.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience using WCF.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience using JQuery.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience using SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience using C#.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience using D3.JS.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience using TFS.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience using VSS.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience using SVN (Tortoise).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience using GIT.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience using Team City.
- Experience can be concurrent.

Expected annual base salary range: $194,000 - $250,000. Actual base salary within that range will be determined by several components including but not limited to the individual's experience, skills, qualifications and job location. For roles located outside of the US, please disregard the posted salary bands as these roles will follow a separate compensation process based on local market comparables.
