Biomedical Technician-Full Time
Weekdays
Scheurer Health is seeking a full-time Biomedical Technician.
Responsibilities
* To ensure patient and staff safety at all Scheurer Health locations
* Perform safety testing and maintain patient care equipment, systems and instrumentation used during the delivery of health care services
* Complete reactive repairs and the preventative maintenance program for all equipment
Requirements
* Possess a valid driver license with no restrictions
* High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
* The preferred candidate will also have one of the following
* Associates degree in biomedical academic program or electronics technology Certificate from a U.S. Military biomedical equipment technology or electronics program
* Certificate from college, university or technical school for Biomedical Engineering
* Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician (CBET)
* Certified Radiology Equipment Specialist (CRES)
* Certified Laboratory Equipment Specialist (CLES)
* Biomedical Equipment Technician Certificate (BMET)
* If not certified, an applicant will at minimum have at least 1-year verifiable work experience in a related field and be willing to complete a BMET certificate program within 1 year of employment.
