This role will perform all scheduled maintenance activities and corrective service requests that are assigned. There will be many opportunities to shadow other Biomedical Technician teammates and develop key skills.What You Will Do:Perform all assigned preventative maintenance activities and repairsRespond to work orders in a timely manner and collaborate with the biomedical teamOrder and track necessary parts for repairs using the approved purchasing method for the accountTake responsibility for clerical needs, including completeness and accuracy of service reportsTrack scheduled maintenance (SM) and repair services, monthly status reports, notification to departments of overdue and incomplete SMs and equipment inventory reportsProvide updates on repairs to Account Manages and Regional DirectorsAdhere to all safety and quality regulations for the facilityPerforms other duties as assignedQualifications:Technical acumen and non-technical skills related to team collaborationCollege Degree, Technical Certification, or other higher level of education pertaining to this role preferredCBET preferredRequired Competencies:Accountability – takes ownership of assigned work and follows items through to completionCommunication – clearly expresses thoughts and ideas both in written and verbal communications, provides timely informationFinancial Acumen – considers financial impact of all decisionsIntegrity – can admit mistakes, is direct and truthfulCustomer Service – demonstrates a "customer-first" mentality, focused on meeting the needs of customers and captures feedback to make improvementsPriority Setting – prioritizes assigned schedules and workloadTeam Building – mentors newer technicians, facilitates clear communication amongst the team, demonstrates care and respect for co-workers and colleaguesRegulatory – knows the various accrediting agencies (TJC, DNV, CAP, DOH) and how the Medical Equipment Management Plan compliesSafety Requirements:Maintain a safe working environment for self and others if they come in contact within the biomed area in accordance with the facility's policiesMust follow OSHA guidelines in regard to blood borne pathogens, airborne pathogens, radiation, sharp instruments and/or tools, hazardous liquids, and operating deviceOntime completion of safety trainings assignmentsMust have sensory ability to distinguish hot & cold ranges of temperature, surfaces, fine motor skills, manual dexterity, and detect/distinguish colorsMust be able to carry or lift up to 50 pounds routinelyClassification: FLSA: Non-Exempt
