The employee performs a variety of routine tasks associated with the installation, maintenance, calibration verification, and repair of a limited scope of patient care equipment under the guidance and direct observation of experienced Clinical Engineering (Biomedical Engineering) professionals. The employee plans and carries out successive steps and resolves problems and deviations in accordance with the equipment manufacturers instructions, the healthcare systems policies, and accepted practices.
The Supervisor reviews the work for adequacy and conformance with practice and policy.Education And CredentialsAAS - Associate of Applied Science or Equivalent Military Experience required. AAS - Associate of Applied Science Biomedical Technology or Electronics Technology preferred. Electronic Certification from accredited program and/or Military certification required.
Preferred licenses/certifications include: ICC/AAMI - CBET, CompTia A+, CompTia Net+.
