A law firm seeks a USPTO-registered Patent Attorney with expertise in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field, based in Houston, TX. This role offers the flexibility of remote or hybrid work arrangements.

Duties

  • Conduct patent prosecution in the fields of bioinformatics and computational biology.
  • Collaborate with clients to develop patent strategies.
  • Draft and review patent applications and related documents.
  • Provide counsel on intellectual property matters.

Requirements

  • Minimum of three years of patent prosecution experience.
  • High level of familiarity with software and biological fields.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with proficiency in technical writing.
  • Admission or qualification for admission to the state bar of the primary office location.

Education

  • Advanced degree (MS or PhD) in a relevant field preferred.

Certifications
