Read further to learn how you could help make great things possible not only in your community, but around the world. In the role of BIM Section Manager, we'll count on you to:Create designs independently under broad direction from the Project Engineer or Project Manager on various design projectsDirect preparation of drawings by other BIM Technicians of lesser experience, or take direct supervisory responsibility for BIM staff as needed\Complete projects with distinctive design features that differ significantly from BIM Technician precedents as neededWork with clients or contractor representatives as neededTake responsibility for operations within the BIM section including staff development, morale, quality control and marketing supportTake responsibility for production on projects in addition to management responsibilitiesTake administrative responsibility for staff and technical service functions, and lead and coordinate services with other sectionsSee that all work is planned, organized, controlled and evaluated through proactive project management systemImplement, monitor and support company policySelect, train, develop and manage technical personnelAt HDR, our employee‑ownership model shapes everything we do, including how we support and care for our people.

Our employee‑owners collaborate across specialties, combining creativity, precision, and deep expertise to solve the most complex challenges facing our clients and communities.QualificationsRequired Qualifications Technical degree or a combination of education and relevant experienceA minimum of 5 years digital design (BIM element authoring) and  5 years digital delivery (model management) experienceComprehensive understanding of all discipline relations and operations of building systems   Advanced skillset of 3D design software and document management infrastructureAdvanced skillset of 3D Coordination toolsAdvanced skillset of Microsoft Office products and communication toolsFamiliar with industry standards and practices, along with discipline codes and specificationsFamiliar with basic automation and programming applications for efficienciesFamiliar with 3D design software add-ins and supporting applicationsFamiliar with content creation and management conceptsSuperior client service, communication, and presentation skills are essentialDemonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills to effectively serve as a first line of technical supportExcellent communication skills, attention to detail and leadership traits are essentialMust have strong organizational skills to establish priorities between technical support requests and project workMust be enthusiastic, energetic, and an excellent work ethicWhat We BelieveHDR is our company.
