JOB DESCRIPTION
Insight Global is seeking a BIM Designer for a contract-to-hire opportunity in Addison, IL or Tampa, FL . This role will focus heavily on Revit (approximately 80%) , developing and coordinating BIM models and construction system designs.
The BIM Designer will partner with Project Managers, engineers, and internal teams to create accurate, constructible designs. Responsibilities include BIM modeling, clash detection, model coordination, Revit family creation, quantity extraction, drawing review, and design validation . Candidates will also use Navisworks, Bluebeam, and Autodesk Construction Cloud/BIM 360 for coordination and project execution.
Required Experience
- 2+ years of professional Revit experience
- 2+ years of Navisworks experience, including clash detection
- BIM modeling, drafting, and design coordination experience
- Experience with Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC)/BIM 360
- Experience using Bluebeam
- Ability to read construction drawings and specifications
- Background in construction, engineering, architecture, MEP, structural, or specialty trades
- Strong communication and cross-functional coordination skills
Nice to Have
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field
- Autodesk certifications
- Revit family creation
- Advanced Navisworks/clash resolution experience
- Quantity takeoff or 4D scheduling experience
- MEP, electrical, structural, or specialty trade experience
