BIM Coordinator

Pay Rate: $70,000- $80,000/year Direct Hire

BIM Coordinator- Willowbrook, IL

• BIM Coordinator is responsible for advanced modeling, clash detection, and creating technical drawings to support electrical construction projects.
• This role involves close collaboration with project managers, field personnel, and engineers to ensure the smooth integration of Building Information Modeling (BIM) into the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Create working shop drawings and coordinated models at a Level of Design (LOD) 500 for shop fabrication and field installation.
• Perform clash detection and resolution with other trades, participating in coordination meetings as needed.
• Work with the BIM Manager and Project Managers to resolve issues that arise during coordination.
• Assist in developing strategies to integrate BIM into prefabrication, follow project BIM standards, and contribute to department education by documenting lessons learned.
• Create and revise submittal documents and update plans with accurate field measurements.
• Conduct on-site surveys and field measurements to support the conceptual design and modeling efforts.

Required skills and qualifications

• Proficiency with Autodesk software (Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks) and other 3rd-party tools for BIM.
• Working knowledge of electrical construction, parts, and safety procedures.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with multiple teams.
• Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and Bluebeam.
• Aptitude for learning and the ability to manage multiple tasks to meet project deadlines.
