This role is responsible for creating, managing, and coordinating accurate BIM models and detailed drawings using established mechanical and engineering drafting methods. The initial focus will be on process piping, with opportunities to expand into additional industrial projects.
This position works closely with multidisciplinary project teams to support the successful planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects.Key Responsibilities:Develop and maintain complete and accurate BIM models based on sketches, specifications, and contract documents provided by project coordinatorsPrepare detailed installation drawings and bill of materials from the BIM models using approved drafting standards.Review, manage, and manipulate electronic design filesUpdate models and drawings to reflect as-built conditionsCoordinate with Mechanical, Civil, and Electrical disciplines to integrate project features into unified BIM modelsInterface with project team members to understand and implement project requirementsSupport ongoing project coordination and constructability efforts through effective modeling practicesRequired Skills & Qualifications:Minimum 5+ years of experience with BIM platforms including Revit and NavisworksProficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD Plant 3D and/or Civil 3DKnowledge & Experience:Understanding of pipe systems, mechanical layouts, and industrial construction processesAbility to read and interpret construction documents, drawings, and specificationsStrong experience with 3D modeling workflows in a construction or industrial environmentSoft Skills:Strong written and verbal communication skillsSelf-motivated with the ability to work independentlyHigh attention to detail and accuracyKokosing is an equal employment opportunity/affirmative action federal and state contractor.
