Billing Specialist

Salary: $24-30 per hour

Key Responsibilities for the Billing Specialist:

• Prepare, review, and process customer invoices according to established billing schedules.
• Generate progress, AIA, time-and-material (T&M), and project-based billings.
• Review contracts, purchase orders, change orders, and supporting documentation prior to invoicing.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Operations, and Accounting teams to ensure accurate billing.
• Research and resolve billing discrepancies, rejected invoices, and customer inquiries.
• Support month-end billing activities, reporting, and reconciliation processes.

Qualifications for the Billing Specialist:

• 2+ years of billing, accounts receivable, accounting, or related experience.
• Construction, contracting, or project-based accounting experience preferred.
• Experience with Sage, progress billing, and T&M billing preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience with electronic billing systems and customer invoice portals preferred.
• Understanding of billing processes, supporting documentation, and basic accounting principles.
