Billing Specialist

Billing SpecialistWe are seeking a detail-oriented Billing Specialist to manage complex billing for large-scale industrial projects. The ideal candidate will have experience within the oil and gas, data center, industrial construction, EPC, or a closely related industry, along with a strong understanding of both time and material and lump-sum billing. This position will work closely with project teams to ensure invoices are accurate, properly supported, and submitted according to contract and customer requirements.Prepare accurate and timely invoices for large-scale industrial projects.Manage both time and material and lump-sum billing.Review contracts, purchase orders, rate sheets, and billing requirements before preparing invoices.Gather and verify supporting documentation, including timesheets, labor reports, equipment usage, material costs, receipts, and subcontractor charges.Ensure labor, equipment, materials, and other project costs are billed according to contractual terms.Monitor unbilled costs, billing status, retainage, and outstanding documentation.Work closely with Project Managers, Project Controls, Accounting, Operations, and field personnel to resolve billing discrepancies.Respond to customer questions and provide documentation needed for invoice approval.Maintain organized and complete billing files for audits and project closeout.Assist with accounts receivable follow-up and reporting as needed.5–10 years of billing experience supporting large-scale industrial or construction projects.Experience in oil and gas, data centers, EPC, pipeline, energy, or a similar project-based industry strongly preferred.Demonstrated experience with both time and material and lump-sum billing.Strong understanding of project contracts, purchase orders, rate structures, and supporting billing documentation.Experience reviewing labor hours, equipment charges, material costs, and subcontractor expenses.Strong Microsoft Excel skills and experience working with accounting, ERP, or project-management systems.Excellent attention to detail, organization, and follow-through.Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and customer-specific billing requirements.Strong written and verbal communication skills.As a Quanta Services employee, we offer a wide range of benefits to fit your needs.401(k) with immediate matching and vestingFully comprehensive benefits packages; Medical, Dental, Vision Your choice of PPO, HSA, FSAShort-term and long-term disability benefitsEmployee discounts on consumer goodsAll qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment and will not be discriminated against on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin or ancestry, sex (including gender, pregnancy, sexual orientation, and/or gender identity), age, disability, genetic information, veteran status, and/or any other basis protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
