Billing Optimization Analyst

To enhance hospital billing processes, the full-time Billing Optimization Analyst will evaluate and resolve barriers to accurate claim submissions while collaborating with various teams to improve clean-claim performance and accelerate revenue capture in a remote setting. Key responsibilities Support the hospital claim-generation lifecycle from coding and charge capture to claim validation and transmission Research and resolve billing edits, claim splits, bill holds, rejections, and other exceptions that delay claims Analyze recurring claim barriers to identify root causes and recommend practical resolutions Required qualifications 2-3 years of hospital billing experience with hands-on claim resolution Working knowledge of the end-to-end institutional claim lifecycle and relevant billing rules Familiarity with UB-04 and 837I requirements, revenue codes, and payer-specific edits Proficiency in Excel for analyzing billing data and trends Clear written and verbal communication skills with a collaborative approach to problem-solving
