Billing Coordinator

Salary: $60,000 - $65,000 (New York)

97% remote, 3 days in office for monthly close in Midtown Manhattan

Key Responsibilities for the Billing Coordinator:

  • Coordinate billing activities, invoice preparation, and fee tracking across assigned matters
  • Monitor financial performance, cost recovery, and outstanding balances while supporting collections efforts
  • Manage new client and matter intake requests, including risk and compliance documentation
  • Draft engagement letters, conflict waivers, and related matter-opening documentation
  • Partner with attorneys, clients, finance, and risk teams to resolve billing and matter-related issues
  • Maintain matter records, reporting, ethical walls, and financial housekeeping activities

Qualifications for the Billing Coordinator:

  • High School Diploma required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • 1-2+ years of administrative, billing, finance, or related professional services experience
  • Strong Microsoft Office Suite proficiency
  • Experience supporting billing, invoicing, client intake, or financial administration processes
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
  • Experience working with attorneys, clients, or cross-functional stakeholders preferred
