Schedule: Full‑time, Monday–Friday, 8‑hour shifts
Salary range: $21.00–$30.24 per hour

Job Description Summary
The Billing Coordinator is responsible for verifying patient insurance eligibility and benefits and supporting the timely resolution of coverage‑related issues that impact claims and accounts receivable. Essential responsibilities include verifying active insurance coverage, benefits, deductibles, copays, and authorization requirements prior to services rendered; identifying and communicating eligibility or coverage issues to internal teams to prevent claim denials; and documenting eligibility findings accurately in patient records. Additional responsibilities include scanning and maintaining insurance correspondence and verification documentation in patient charts; assisting with follow‑up on coverage‑related claim denials or unpaid claims; supporting additional revenue cycle functions as assigned; and maintaining strict confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Responsibilities

Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited high school required.
- Graduation from a business school/college and/or business/billing courses helpful.
- Minimum one year business office/billing/collections and customer service experience required.
- Computer and typing experience and skills.
- Demonstrated excellent people, verbal, and multi‑tasking skills in a fast‑paced environment.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish required.

Physical Requirements
- Vision sufficient to read handwritten, typed and computer documents.
- Speech and hearing sufficient to receive and communicate detailed information clearly by phone and in person.
- Motor skills sufficient to operate computer terminal, fax machine, copier, and telephone.
- Physical ability to reach, lift and bend to retrieve and/or file materials.
- Physical ability to sit, stand or otherwise remain stationary at work post for long periods.
- Physical ability to walk hallways between departments.
- Physical ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
- Physical ability to walk up and down one flight of stairs and between departments.
