This is a strong opportunity for someone early in their career who wants to build experience in healthcare finance, billing, accounts receivable, and revenue cycle operations. This role offers hands-on exposure to multiple areas of the revenue cycle while working closely with an experienced manager.
As you become comfortable with the position, you will take greater ownership of assigned responsibilities and accounts. We are looking for someone who is organized, professional, adaptable, and comfortable working independently. Our department continues to grow and evolve, so the right person will be able to adjust to changing priorities, manage deadlines, and take initiative while knowing when to ask questions or escalate an issue.What You'll DoReview client billing, payer, payment, authorization, and documentation information for accuracy and completenessReview care logs and service records for billing readiness and follow up on missing information Support Long-Term Care Insurance reimbursement, including submissions, documentation, tracking, and follow-upResearch denied or rejected claims and assist with corrections and re-submissionsFollow up on Private Pay balances, declined transactions, prepayments, and depositsProcess and post routine client and payer paymentsMaintain accurate account notes, work queues, billing records, and tracking logsMonitor the shared billing inbox and communicate professionally with clients, responsible parties, internal teams, and external contactsSupport recurring billing cycles, invoice distribution, and other revenue cycle activitiesEscalate complex or unresolved issues to the Revenue Cycle ManagerWho We're Looking ForInterested in building a career in finance, billing, or healthcare revenue cycle operationsAble to work independently after training and take responsibility for assigned workFlexible and able to adapt as priorities, processes, and responsibilities changeComfortable working in a growing department where responsibilities may evolve over timeOrganized and able to prioritize work, manage deadlines, and consistently follow throughProfessional, dependable, timely, and focused on completing work accuratelyComfortable working within a corporate or multi-location environmentWilling to learn new systems and processes while becoming increasingly self-sufficientAble to maintain the established in-office schedule and successfully complete required pre-employment screening, including a background checkQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent required; college education or advanced coursework preferred1+ year of experience in healthcare billing, accounts receivable, medical office operations, home care/home health, healthcare administration, or a related field preferredStrong attention to detail, organization, and follow-throughProfessional written and verbal communication skillsBasic proficiency with Microsoft Outlook and Excel Working knowledge of HIPAA and confidential information handlingAbility to learn new systems, follow established processes, and work independently after training Preferred ExperienceWellSky or another Homecare and/or Healthcare EMR systemLong-Term Care Insurance reimbursementHealthcare billing or revenue cycle operationsPayment posting, collections, remittance processing, or account reconciliationCorporate or multi-location healthcare experience a plus!An Equal Opportunity Employer.
