Job TitleBilling and Customer Service RepresentativeJob DescriptionThe Billing and Customer Service Representative supports broadcast advertising clients, internal sales teams, and finance operations by managing billing activities and providing exceptional customer service. This role is responsible for processing advertising invoices, resolving billing discrepancies, maintaining accurate account records, and assisting clients with questions related to broadcast schedules, contracts, and payments.The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and capable of working in a fast-paced media environment with multiple deadlines and high client expectations.Key ResponsibilitiesBilling & Accounts SupportPrepare, review, and process broadcast advertising invoices for television, radio, digital, or multimedia campaignsVerify billing accuracy against advertising contracts, traffic logs, affidavits, and aired schedulesProcess billing adjustments, credits, and account updates as neededInvestigate and resolve billing discrepancies related to commercial airings, make-goods, preemptions, and campaign changesSupport month-end billing activities and reporting processesMaintain accurate billing documentation and recordsCustomer & Client ServiceServe as a point of contact for advertisers, agencies, and internal sales teams regarding billing and account inquiriesRespond promptly and professionally to customer questions via phone and emailCommunicate effectively with Sales, Traffic, Programming, and Finance departments to resolve client issuesProvide clients with invoice copies, account statements, proof of performance, and payment informationMaintain positive client relationships through responsive and solution-focused serviceAdministrative & Operational DutiesMaintain accurate customer and advertiser records within billing and traffic systemsEnsure compliance with company policies, broadcast regulations, and financial proceduresAssist with contract documentation, data entry, and reporting tasksSupport process improvement initiatives to enhance billing accuracy and customer experienceProcess credit card, ACH, and check refundsMaintain confidentiality of financial and client informationQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree preferred1–3 years of experience in billing, customer service, administrative support, or media operations preferredExperience in broadcast, advertising, media, or telecommunications industries is a plusStrong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlinesExcellent verbal and written communication skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and OutlookExperience with broadcast traffic, billing, ERP, or CRM systems preferredStrong organizational, problem-solving, and customer service skillsPreferred SkillsKnowledge of broadcast advertising terminology and invoicing processesFamiliarity with traffic and sales systems such as Osi, AOS, Broadway, Wide Orbit Networks, or similar platformsAbility to work collaboratively in a deadline-driven environmentStrong analytical and reconciliation skillsWork EnvironmentFast-paced broadcast or media office environmentFrequent communication with internal departments, advertisers, and agenciesMay require occasional overtime during month-end or high-volume billing periodsPerformance ExpectationsMaintain a high level of billing accuracy and timelinessDeliver responsive and professional customer supportMeet established productivity and service goalsContribute to operational efficiency and client satisfactionSinclair is proud to be an equal opportunity employer and a drug free workplace. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate's relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location.
