Billing And Collections SpecialistThe Billing and Collections Specialist will process insurance claims for medical services rendered and follow claims until paid. The Billing and Collections Specialist will also monitor that all active clients' utilization management is current and work with the clinical team to ensure clients' treatment is covered by insurance.ResponsibilitiesReview documentation for accuracy for coding and billing purposesSubmit claims and all communications pertaining to the claims being submitted.Keep and update active reports for billing and billable items.Utilization review (submitting and monitoring prior authorizations)Reviewing denials for reprocessingPosting insurance payments against claims in billing softwareVerifying eligibility of clients prior to billingFollowing up on insurance eligibility for pending enrollmentsAttends meetings as needed for clearinghouse, billing, provider relations, etc.As part of Axiom Care's commitment to Culturally and Linguistically Appropriate Services (CLAS), this position supports efforts to provide inclusive and accessible translation services for clients.
