Bilingual Tutor
Provides classroom instruction, student support, implementation of effective classroom strategies and procedures. Reinforces reading, writing, mathematical concepts, vocabulary development, skills and ideas based on student needs one-on-one, and in small and large groups. Provides student support with technology needs including email, google classroom access, and general computer use. Sets student-tutoring schedules and provides one to one or small group tutoring sessions. Meets with Instructors and staff for curriculum, student progress, and student need discussions as requested. Maintains a tutoring log, reports students' attendance, progress and needs weekly. Creates or/and modifies lesson and unit plans as needed. Other duties as assigned.
Requirements: Associate's degree Proficiency in English and Spanish Excellent organizational skills; commitment to professional and program development: learner-centered, and committed to lifelong learning Strong written and interpersonal communication and technology skills Positive attitude, patient, able to explain concepts to all learners Ability to work effectively and flexibly with a diverse faculty, staff, and student body Ability to teach in person and online
Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree Experience teaching adults Experience teaching English as a Second Language
