Key Responsibilities
- Represent clients in court appearances, hearings, motion practice, and trials.
- Prepare, review, and file pleadings, motions, legal briefs, and discovery responses.
- Conduct legal research and draft memoranda and other legal documents.
- Review and sign pleadings and other case-related filings.
- Evaluate and review new case matters.
- Conduct client consultations and intake interviews.
- Manage cases through all phases of litigation.
- Collaborate with attorneys and legal support staff to ensure efficient case management.
- Maintain accurate case files and comply with court deadlines.
- The ideal candidate is confident in court, possesses strong legal writing and analytical skills, and can effectively manage a caseload while providing guidance and support to legal staff. Some travel within Arizona is required.
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
- Active license to practice law (Arizona Bar admission preferred).
- Litigation experience preferred.
- Immigration law experience is required.
- Personal injury litigation experience is a plus.
- Strong courtroom advocacy, legal research, and legal writing skills.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to maintaining all required continuing legal education (CLE) requirements.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
- Two or more years of litigation experience.
- Experience handling client-facing legal matters and court appearances.
