Job Summary:
Under the direction and supervision of the Wound and Ostomy Manager, the wound, ostomy, and continence nurse will provide safe, competent, quality care based on nursing theory and research to a designated group of patients.
Required Qualifications:
MUST HAVE A WOUND CARE CERTIFICATE.
Hands On and Pressure Injury experience needed
- Three to five (3-5) years of experience in healthcare.
- BSN
- Ability to fully utilize BHMC’s electronic record systems, equipment, and other healthcare and billing systems relevant to this position.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Active NYS Registered Nurse license.
- Certified Wound Ostomy Nurse (CWON) issued by the WOCNCB; or Certified Wound Care Nurse (CWCN) issued by the WOCNCB; or Certified Wound Specialist (CWS) issued by the American Board of Wound Management (ABWM); or Wound Care Certified Certification (WCC) issued by the National Alliance of Wound Care and Ostomy (NAWCO).
