Position Summary

The Beverage Specialist is responsible for preparing exceptional handcrafted beverages with precision, consistency, and efficiency while maintaining the highest standards of food safety, cleanliness, and presentation. This role ensures every drink reflects Gacha Boba’s commitment to quality and provides guests with an outstanding beverage experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• Minimum of six (6) months of experience working in a bubble tea, specialty tea, café, coffee shop, or similar beverage-focused environment.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced setting.
• Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation practices.
• Experience following standardized recipes with consistency.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Skills & Competencies

Beverage Craftsmanship

Prepares beverages with precision by following standardized recipes, measuring ingredients accurately, and maintaining consistency in every drink served.

Quality Control

Maintains exceptional presentation, flavor, temperature, and consistency while ensuring every beverage meets Gacha Boba quality standards.

Food Safety & Sanitation

Understands and follows all food safety procedures, sanitation standards, allergen awareness, and health department regulations.

Time Management

Prioritizes tasks efficiently while maintaining speed and accuracy during busy service periods.

Organization

Maintains a clean, organized, and well-stocked beverage station throughout each shift.

Attention to Detail

Recognizes that small details—from the amount of ice to the seal on the cup—contribute to an exceptional guest experience.

Teamwork

Communicates effectively with Guest Experience Associates and other team members to ensure efficient service and smooth operations.

Problem Solving

Handles beverage remakes, equipment issues, and changing business demands professionally while maintaining quality.

Continuous Learning

Stays current on seasonal beverages, recipe updates, and new products while actively seeking opportunities to improve skills.

Preferred Experience

Experience with:

• Bubble tea preparation
• Espresso or specialty coffee
• Tea brewing techniques
• Smoothie or blended beverage preparation
• Commercial beverage equipment
• Inventory rotation (FIFO)
• Opening and closing kitchen procedures
• Health department inspections

Physical Requirements

• Stand for extended periods.
• Lift up to 40 lbs.
• Frequently reach, bend, and carry beverage ingredients and supplies.
• Work safely in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
