As part of HDR’s Building Engineering Services Group, you’ll help design critical infrastructure that supports the digital age and shapes the spaces where people work, connect, and thrive.

Primary Responsibilities

• Lead a team of technical experts to develop and execute a BES technology vision and roadmap, including strategy and investment planning.
• Integrate market‑driven, innovative strategies with practical implementation and risk management.
• Develop communication strategies to connect BES technology professionals and inform key stakeholders.
• Develop and implement communication strategies to engage and inform critical BES stakeholders of technology program, including geographic leadership and market sector leadership.
• Standardize technology workflows and delivery practices to improve efficiency and quality.
• Promote thought leadership through strategy regarding industry awards, publications, speaking engagements, and leadership roles in technology‑relevant industry organizations.
• Lead visioning for technology workforce of the future. Recruit, develop, and retain technology talent.
• Partner with key stakeholders to identify and develop a network of Technical Experts/Subject Matter Experts as needed to support the HDR enterprise.
• Work to identify programmatic hardware and software needs, such as high‑powered computing and modeling, and work with corporate information technology to facilitate and implement solutions.
• Develop strategies and support practice and professional discipline groups to foster technology talent collaboration and skills development.

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, engineering, information technology, information science, systems administration, or similar related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience with at least 5 in the consulting Architecture & Engineering industry.
• Proven leader with a growth mind‑set and the ability to develop and implement technology strategies and drive organizational change.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams to find solutions that advance projects and initiatives.
• Demonstrated understanding of a broad range of technologies and their applied delivery within the architectural‑engineering sector.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a Professional, Architecture, Engineering or closely related field.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in related field.
• Maintains a professional or Engineering registration and has related technical experience.
• Experienced in development and management of diverse teams.
• Works cooperatively with other business class directors, operations managers, technical directors and marketing managers on business class efforts.
• Committed to quality, improvement and HDR values.

Benefits

The expected compensation range for this position is $183,530.00 – $262,185.00 annually, depending upon skills, experience, education and geographical location. (Stated benefits are for full‑time regular positions. Temporary and part‑time roles eligible for limited benefits.)
