Facility Maintenance TechnicianFacility maintenance technician is responsible for completing maintenance tasks to repair appliances and preserve the quality of a facility; while conducting routine maintenance checks, delegating tasks among the maintenance team and taking inventory of cleaning supplies and tools.Essential DutiesPerforming quality checks on HVAC, air conditioning, plumbing and electrical systemsChecking and responding to security and safety issuesTesting and recommending new maintenance productsCoordinating deliveries from vendors and suppliersKeeping documents of inspections and problemsDoing landscaping, pool maintenance and pest controlKeeping an inventory of cleaning and repairing suppliesTraining junior staff, if applicableEducation and/or Experience/QualificationsConstruction skills such as carpentry, painting, masonry, plumbing, roofing and weldingAdvanced critical thinking and problem-solving skills for fixing maintenance issuesAdministrative skills for ordering supplies, handling records and scheduling maintenancePhysical strength and dexterity to lift, move and handle equipmentStamina to deal with long hours standing or walkingStrong verbal and written communication for discussing maintenance issuesAbility to work in hot or cold conditionsOrganizational and time management skillsPhysical Requirements & Work EnvironmentWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or listen.
