Amedisys Hospice of Murfreesboro is seeking compassionate Bereavement Support Volunteers to help individuals and families navigate the journey of loss after the death of a loved one. Your empathy, presence, and listening ear can bring comfort and hope during one of life’s most vulnerable times.
️ What Bereavement Volunteers Do
- Provide emotional support to grieving individuals through phone calls, written correspondence, and occasional in‑person visits
- Offer compassionate listening and companionship
- Assist with bereavement groups, memorial services, and remembrance activities
- Help families feel supported, heard, and not alone
- Work alongside our hospice team to extend care beyond the patient’s passing
