Benefits SpecialistCapstone is seeking a detail-oriented, high-performing Benefits Specialist to own and deliver our global benefits programs. This role is responsible for the day-to-day administration, execution, and continuous improvement of our health, welfare, and retirement offerings, ensuring a seamless and compliant employee experience.Reporting to the Head of People, this role will operate with a high degree of independence while partnering closely with People Operations, Payroll, and Finance. This position offers the opportunity to expand scope over time and deepen expertise across benefits and broader People Operations.This is an ideal opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes pride in accuracy and ownership, and is motivated to build scalable, well-run processes. You will play a critical role in maintaining a high-quality benefits experience while contributing to the continued evolution of the People function.Responsibilities and Impact:Own day-to-day administration and delivery of all global employee benefit programs, including health, welfare, retirement, and wellness offeringsServe as the primary point of contact for employees on all benefits-related inquiries and issue resolutionManage the annual benefits renewal process, including data gathering, analysis, and implementationEnsure compliance with all applicable benefits regulations (ACA, ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, etc.) and maintain accurate documentationManage relationships with brokers and vendors, including renewals, performance tracking, and ongoing supportPartner closely with Finance, Payroll and People Operations to reconcile benefit invoices and ensure data accuracy across systemsAdminister leave of absence programs and documentation (FMLA, disability, state programs, etc.)Maintain and update benefits data and deductions within HRIS, ensuring accuracy and alignment across systemsAnalyze plan utilization, costs, and market trends to recommend improvements and cost optimization strategiesContribute to employee communications and education to improve understanding and engagement with benefits programsSupport broader People initiatives, including wellness and employee experience programsCross-train in payroll processing, partnering with the Payroll Specialist to support accuracy, continuity, and coverage as neededAssist with ad hoc projects and process improvements to enhance efficiency and scalability of People OperationsOur future colleague has these skills:Bachelor's degree5+ years of hands-on benefits administration in a high-volume, fast-paced environmentStrong experience managing health & welfare and retirement programs, including vendor and broker managementSolid working knowledge of benefits regulations and compliance requirements (HIPAA, COBRA, ACA, ERISA, IRS, DOL, etc.)Exposure to or strong interest in payroll processes, with a willingness to cross-train and provide backup support for payroll operationsHigh attention to detail with the ability to manage sensitive data with accuracy and confidentialityStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectivelyComfortable working cross-functionally with Finance, Payroll, and People Operations partnersAdaptable, proactive, and able to operate effectively in a growing and evolving environmentStrong communication skills, with the ability to clearly and concisely support employees at all levelsDo you possess these bonus skills:Familiarity with international benefits programsExposure to payroll processesBenefits & Compensation Information:Our team is our most important asset and investment. The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis.
