Benefits SpecialistThis position is responsible for coordinating benefits programs for Chord Energy. The Benefits Specialist will work on program design, respond to and/or resolve benefits questions and problems, process transactions and communicate with vendors on all benefits issues.
Responsibilities will also include data integrity, benefits documentation, managing the open enrollment process and employee benefits education including conducting benefits orientation. Essential Job FunctionsWork with employees on benefits related issues in accordance with the plan/program provisions, including medical, dental, vision, life, flexible spending accounts, health spending accounts, disability plans, 401K plan (retirement), EAP, COBRA, etc.Administer and maintain leaves of absence and counsel employees and managersManage benefits documentation and plan documentsManage open enrollment process by ensuring accuracy of employee communication materials and facilitate open enrollment meetingsReview company provided benefit programs during new hire orientationManage employee level benefits data in the HR/Payroll system including benefits set up and reportingManage vendor relationships, monitor interfaces (eligibility data, employee changes, etc.) and paymentsWork with Accounting to summarize and reconcile benefit vendor invoicesCommunicate with vendors to ensure employees' concerns/complaints are resolved in a timely and equitable manner within guidelines of the plansEnsure compliance with regulatory requirementsCommunicate plan highlights and changes, and coordinate non-discrimination and compliance testingCoordinate annual external audits and 401(k) committee meetingsCoordinate and/or assist with additional projects and tasks as assignedMinimum QualificationsBachelor's degree8 years benefits analyst experienceExcellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skillsDetail oriented with ability to prioritize multiple projectsHigh level of proficiency with Microsoft Office, including MS Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and ExcelPhysical Requirements and Working Conditions: Must possess mobility to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment, including a computer, stamina to maintain attention to detail despite interruptions, strength to lift and carry files weighing up to 10 pounds; vision to read printed materials and a computer screen, and hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephonePreferred QualificationsCBP or equivalent certificationOil & Gas industry experience
