Benefits Coordinator Responsibilities
- Coordinate the day-to-day administration of employee benefit programs, including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and retirement plans
- The Benefits Coordinator will serve as a primary point of contact for employee benefits questions and assist with benefit enrollments, qualifying life events, and coverage changes
- Work with insurance carriers, brokers, and vendors to resolve benefit issues and ensure timely processing of enrollments and terminations
- Review and reconcile monthly benefit invoices and assist with discrepancy resolution
- The Benefits Coordinator will maintain accurate employee benefits information within the HRIS system and ensure payroll deductions are processed correctly
- Support annual open enrollment by preparing materials, coordinating communications, and assisting employees with benefit selections
- Ensure benefits administration complies with company policies and applicable regulations
- The Benefits Coordinator will prepare reports and maintain benefit records and documentation
Qualifications of the Benefits Coordinator Role
- 2+ years of benefits administration or benefits coordination experience
- Experience working with benefit carriers, brokers, and third-party administrators
- HRIS experience and proficiency with Microsoft Excel
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining confidentiality
- Experience supporting self-insured medical plans is a plus but not required
