As a Benefits Advisor, you will play an integral role in onboarding and enrolling both new and existing PeopleKeep members. For new members, you are the gateway to an individual's experience with PeopleKeep in the pursuit of major medical and ancillary options. For new and existing members, you are the primary subject matter expert in health benefits.
You are also key in helping members understand what benefits are available to them, how PeopleKeep fits into their benefits, and how their benefits actually work.ResponsibilitiesSell individual health insurance and ancillary policies based on member needsApply and enroll individuals into insurance plans and programsAbide by insurance standards and HIPAA regulationsCustomize insurance programs to suit individual client needsMaintain electronic recordsWork as an advocate for the employee and employerEducate customers on our products and servicesQualificationsOutstanding verbal and written communication skillsBe comfortable working in multiple technology platformsStrong ability to manage time effectivelyData analysis and problem-solving skillsCapacity to work beyond 40 hours per week in Q4Strong organization skills and attention to detailMust have, or be able to obtain, a health insurance licenseFlexible to adapt to a constantly changing environmentWillingness to learn and grow into a health benefit subject matter expertStrong collaborative team playerEducation & ExperienceBachelor's Degree preferredHealth Insurance experience strongly preferredBenefitsFull health benefits offering, including life, long-term disability, dental, and visionGenerous PTO401(k) matchSabbatical PTO available after 5 yearsThis is an in-office position in downtown Indianapolis four days/week, with work from home Fridays.
