Benefit Plan AssociateAn expanding Third-Party Administrator is seeking a motivated, hardworking, and highly organized professional with extensive experience in healthcare benefits and/or pension administration and administrative procedures.Primary ResponsibilitiesAssisting the Plan Manager in the administration of various employee benefit plansMaintaining and preparing materials for meetings, including minute writingReviewing and processing all correspondence, and invoicesEnsuring that client-specific procedures are routinely practiced and enforcedAssisting in obtaining the data necessary for benefit studies, annual audits, and timely submission of required government filingsExercising discretion in all matters relating to administration of the benefit plans and management of internal relationshipsReviewing and analysis of monthly financial statementsInterpreting plan documents, summary plan descriptions, and other governing documentsInteracting with trustees, plan professionals, contributing employers and participantsRegular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this jobRequired QualificationsMust be highly proficient in Microsoft OfficeExcellent communication, problem solving, organizational and grammar skills.Ability to write minutes, communications, notifications, etc.Education and/or Experience – College education or prior related work experience preferred. Language Skills - Ability to read and interpret the eligibility rules as outlined in the Summary Plan Description (SPD), user manuals for on-line services, department rules and procedures manual and COBRA Compliance manual. Ability to speak clearly and effectively explain to members, dependents, providers and union officials the month-to-month eligibility for coverage. Reasoning Ability - Must be capable of thoroughly analyzing vendor invoices and all month end reports.

Find discrepancies in member's eligibility; make necessary corrections based on department procedures, Plan rules and analysis of member's eligibility.Work Environment - Fast paced department. Most work is done independently. Must be able to multi-task. Must be detail oriented.Work Schedule - Full time.

Monday - Friday, 7:30am - 4:30 pm.
