Salary: Per assignment and individual contract; base rate of pay is $22.50 per hour. Salary will be commensurate with experience of the successful candidate and qualifications as determined by the Superintendent of Schools.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree or greater preferred in education, counseling, occupational therapy, physical therapy, or social work (other related majors or coursework may be considered)
- Certificate program completion in a related field may be considered
- Experience in school setting preferred
- Experience providing services to school aged children from diverse backgrounds preferred
- Knowledge and awareness of trauma and trauma-informed practices
- Understanding of child and brain development
- Possess well-developed problem-solving skills
- Possess sound, independent judgment, including handling of confidential matters
- Possess working knowledge of best practice strategies; able to make research-based decisions
- Ability to communicate effectively with parents, staff members, and students to lead toward positive outcomes
- CPI Certified, or willingness to obtain
- Willingness to engage in further training, as provided by the district
- Competency with emerging computer technologies (keyboarding, internet, email) and familiarity with student information systems
- Pass background check
