SUMMARY
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced individual to serve as the Behavior Intervention Team Lead at Filer Middle School. This full-time position is designed for a passionate professional who will oversee and implement behavior intervention strategies, support students with behavioral challenges, and work collaboratively with staff, parents, and the community to create a positive school environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of behavioral management techniques, and a commitment to fostering student success.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the Behavior Intervention Team in developing and implementing individualized behavior intervention plans for students with diverse needs.
- Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and administrative staff to assess student behavior and provide guidance on effective intervention strategies.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of behavior interventions and make necessary adjustments to improve outcomes.
- Facilitate training and professional development for staff on behavior management techniques and best practices.
- Conduct regular meetings with parents and guardians to discuss student progress and strategies for support at home.
- Maintain accurate records of interventions, student progress, and team meetings to ensure compliance with school and district policies.
- Serve as a resource for crisis intervention and support, providing immediate assistance as needed.
- Foster a positive school climate by promoting social-emotional learning and proactive behavior support initiatives.
- Collaborate with external agencies and community resources to provide comprehensive support for students and families.
- Stay current with research and trends in behavior intervention and related fields to continuously improve practices.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working with students in an educational or behavioral support setting.
- Strong knowledge of behavior management strategies, positive behavior interventions, and social-emotional learning principles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with students, staff, and families.
- Proven leadership skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Familiarity with data collection and analysis related to student behavior and intervention outcomes.
- Certification in behavior analysis or a related field is a plus.

- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in all interactions.
